Blending the Power of Nature with the Nature of Power



My name is Amandla and I’m based just outside of Atlanta, GA. I’m an Agnes Scott College graduate with a degree in studio art. As a visual artist, I have worked with many different types of mediums including acrylic painting, drawing (pencil, charcoal, ink), digital/graphic art, and bookmaking/bookbinding.

The main aesthetic theme of most of my work is nature vs technology (or nature combined with technology). With this, I explore the idea of blending elements of nature (flowers, plants, water, earth, etc.) with elements of modern-day digital technology (circuitry, computers, etc.). Some of these works focus more on the nature aspect while others lean more towards the digital aesthetic (some are even a fusion of both).
